Every breed we test is included. That covers popular pedigree breeds such as the Cocker Spaniel, Labrador, French Bulldog, Border Collie, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, German Shepherd and Golden Retriever, crossbreeds including the Cockapoo, Cavapoo, Labradoodle and Sprocker, and cat breeds including the Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Bengal, Persian, British Shorthair, Siamese and Sphynx.
What you get for £99
Each panel screens your dog or cat for the inherited conditions known to occur in their breed. We test multiple mutations from a single sample rather than you paying for each test individually. Every order includes:
- A sampling kit posted to you, with a plain-English guide
- A simple cheek swab you take at home. No vet visit, no blood sample
- A clear result for every mutation tested: Clear, Carrier or Affected
- A printable test certificate you can share with buyers or your vet, for example
Results are reported by the same laboratory that carries out the testing, here on the Isle of Man. We do not outsource analysis or send your samples overseas.
Who DNA health testing is for
Breeders. Screening breeding stock before mating lets you avoid pairing two carriers of the same recessive mutation, which is the combination that produces affected puppies and kittens. Certificates give buyers documented evidence of the health status behind a litter.
Owners and prospective owners. Knowing whether your animal carries a mutation for a late-onset condition changes what you watch for and how you plan care. It also matters when choosing a puppy or kitten; a breeder who can show DNA results has done the work.
Rescue and rehoming organisations. For animals of uncertain background, a panel gives a factual baseline for their health record.
