Description

Shaking Puppy Syndrome affects myelination of the spinal cord causing a generalised tremor from around two weeks of age. The tremor severity can be variable but diminishes by around three or four months of age.

An X-linked recessive condition caused by a mutation in the PLP1 gene.

The guideline turnaround time for single tests is approximately 10-12 working days after the swab arrives at the lab.
