Foresight Health® Sensory Neuropathy

£48.00

Our Foresight Health® single test for Sensory Neuropathy is ideal for breeders and owners who want the reassurance of genetic health testing.

The guideline turnaround time for single tests is approximately 10-12 working days after the swab arrives at the lab.

If you need more than two tests it is often more cost-effective to order the relevant Foresight Health® breed package.

Description

Sensory Neuropathy (SN) is a progressive neurological disease which presents in the first half year of life. It causes abnormal gait, muscle weakness, incontinence, and limb numbness. Hind legs can be more affected than front, and affected dogs may chew on limbs as numbness develops. Affected dogs are often euthanised within a year or two due to quality of life.

An autosomal recessive condition caused by a mutation in the FAM134B gene.
