Foresight Health® Dental Hypomineralisation


Our Foresight Health® single test for Dental Hypomineralisation is ideal for breeders and owners who want the reassurance of genetic health testing.

Our DNA test results are accepted by the Kennel Club.

The guideline turnaround time for single tests is approximately 10-12 working days after the swab arrives at the lab.

Dental Hypomineralisation (DH) or Raine Syndrome causes a lack of mineralisation of the teeth. This results in brittle, brown teeth which are prone to cracking and severe wear. Eventually the inner tooth pulp is exposed causing pain, inflammation, and risk of infection.

An autosomal recessive condition caused by a mutation in the FAM20C gene.
