Cyclic Neutropaenia (CN), also known as Grey Collie Syndrome, creates a variable quantity of neutrophils which are a type of white blood cells. Affected dogs have a grey coat and are vulnerable to severe infections when their neutrophil count is very low. Most affected dogs will die very young due to infections and associated problems.
An autosomal recessive condition caused by a mutation in the AP3B1 gene.
