Description

Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Phosphate Deficiency causes exercise intolerance and lactic acid build up. Affected dogs may walk slowly and rest often, and can be treated with exercise restriction and a high fat diet.

An autosomal recessive condition caused by a mutation in the PDP1 gene.
